Where do we board the Pedal Tavern?
All tours start and end at the Cooperage Building 820 S. Water St. (South Water and National).
Can we drink while on board?
You sure can, Bring Your Own Beer!! We have coolers or bring your own, each rider is allowed to bring up to 3 cans of beer. Cans must be 12 oz. or smaller.
How old do riders need to be?
21+, this is a pub crawl tour.
How does the pub crawl route work?
We have drink specials set up at 25+ bars in the 3rd Ward / Walker’s Point. We send you the list when you make the reservation, you pick the route. Groups typically make 3-4 stops on their tour!
How do we know if the Pedal Tavern is available when we want it?
Click the Book Now button on the tour you are interested in and select the Available Dates box. First come, first served!
Can we split the bill?
Check out eventpally.com, an excellent way to split the bill before you come. We recommend charging a few extra bucks per person so you can pool money for beer and snacks… the cooler fund if you will.
How many people can fit on the Pedal Tavern?
It can hold up to 16 people, there are 10 seats with pedals, 2 seats above the back wheels, and 3 bench seats on the back row, and one person can man the middle as the bartender and fetch the group drinks and snacks.
Who drives this thing?
We have an employee of ours drive and steer the unit – your group can relax and have fun.
Can I rent multiple bikes, and will we all go together?
Yes and yes! Please call us at 414-250-0339 to schedule multiple bikes (don’t schedule online)!
Can we eat food on the Pedal Tavern?
Yes, you can! In fact, some groups even use the Pedal Tavern to do Progressive dinners. There are many great restaurants in the 3rd Ward and Walkers Point.
What's the music situation?
We have a sound system on each bike and can play your CDs, iPhones/iPods, and other music players!
What if it rains?
Unless it’s really pouring, we will ride. It’s actually really fun when it rains, groups have a blast! Plus, there is a roof so you will stay pretty dry.
What is the cancellation policy?
If you cancel 14+ days prior we will give you a refund. If you cancel 5-13 days, we will give you a rain check to use later in the season, or next season if it’s at the end of the season. Cancellations within 4 days of the tour will not receive any type of a refund.
What are the hours of operation?
10:00 AM to 10:30 PM. Yes, bars are open that early on the route. We can even start earlier upon request!
How fast does this bad boy go?
It goes about 5 miles an hour.
Are there height requirements to ride?
To reach the pedal, you need to be around 5’3″ or taller. If you are shorter, it’s not a big deal, take a bench seat, or bartend for the group!
How do we pay?
Book online or call us at 414-250-0339 to book a tour. We accept cash, checks, debit, or credit cards. You must pay at the time of reservation. We can split the payment on multiple cards.
What is the least amount of people needed to operate this thing?
You can get it going with 2 or 3 pedalers, but it’s a workout. Ideally, you want at least 6 people.
Where did this thing come from?
Pedal Tavern is an import from Europe. It’s very popular in Amsterdam and Germany. Minneapolis was the first US city to have one. We rode it up there and realized that Milwaukee would love something like this!
